Samuel is in the hospital.


Dear friends,
Today has been a really rough day. Last night we all actually seemed to sleep. Well, I mean I didn't fall asleep until 2:45 but the point was Samuel sounded clearer and though he was coughing he wasn't throwing up. I had to change him at around 2 but he seemed to settle down afterwards.

Then there was this morning. He's been throwing up repeatedly. He's retracting deeply. Mike took him to the doctors and instead of being able to even come home to get me he had to rush to the hospital. Samuel is experiencing serious breathing distress.

Please be praying for him. He really looks peakish and I can tell his oxygen has been dropping. I am currently home with Libby. My mom just called to tell me that she and my dad are just going to drive up to be with Libby. I'm looking for a way to get to the hospital right now...

Jen...I ate a lot of chocolate for you today. :) My kids are finally done with the stomach flu (after 10 days) so I can relate to the puke and "fluids". See it as the privileged initiation into a "fun" club...that unless you have experienced your child(ren) vomiting on every clean set of sheets in your household and the complete square footage of your living quarters, you are not worthy to be a part of. You have already taken the cake with more than your fair share of turmoil and the beautiful thing is you endeavor to look to God first...by requesting prayer. Samuel, Little Buddy, praying for him to be better. Wish I were there to help you.

I can also relate to the "non-romantic" romantic holidays (aka Valentine's) BOO HISS. I had a surprise date planned for us tonight...but...Neal is sick with something...fever, coughing, etc. It might be influenza, it might be "man-cold"...but I think this time it's legitimate.

Jenn, We are praying for God to completely heal and restore Samuel to health. May He sustain you and Mike with His unending comfort and peace. I pray that for little Libby too. Be assured that many people love and care about you and are praying for you and your family.
